Kate Voegele - Wish you were here

Highly recommended by me.

Gone away are the golden days
Just a page in my diary
So here I am a utopian citizen
I’m still convinced
There’s no such thing as idealism

Memories they’re following me like a shadow now
And I’m dreamin’
Cause I’ve already suffered the fever of disbelief

I’ve seen your act
And I know all the facts
I’m still in love with who I wish you were

It ain’t hard to see
Who you are underneath
I’m still in love with who I wish you were
And I wish you were here

I was true as the sky is blue
I couldn’t soon say the same for you
So now I find denial in my eyes
I’m mesmerized by the picture that’s in my mind

Tell me when I’ll finally see your shallow heart
For what it is
‘Cause I don’t want to keep on believin’ in illusions

No no no

Cause I’ve seen your act
And I know all the facts
I’m still in love with who I wish you were

It ain’t hard to see
Who you are underneath
I’m still in love with who I wish you were
I wish you were here

Sometimes I can’t explain
And I’m so sorry that I can’t
I’ll try to concentrate
On your true identity

Cause I’ve seen your act
And I know all the facts
I’m still in love with who I wish you were

It ain’t hard to see
Who you are underneath
I’m still in love with who I wish you were

I’ve seen your act
And I know all the facts
I’m still in love with who I wish you were

It ain’t hard to see
Who you are underneath
I’m still in love with who I wish you were

I wish you were here… Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
I wish you were here… Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
I wish you were here…
I wish you were here…
I wish you were here…

Other good ones from here :

I wont disagree

Kindly unspoken

The devil in me

Only fooling myself

My New Toy IV

My New Toy III is missing because I was too lazy to write about my new phone (5 months ago), the Nokia 6110 Navigator. So I am saving that up for future use and hence my new toy iv for now!

I have been wanting to get myself a set of make up brushes for quite sometime. I was initially looking at Estee Lauder’s brushes because Estee Lauder is my default facial product brand( been using them since I started to use any facial product) but they are so expensive! So I thought maybe I could get them one at a time and got myself a concealer brush first which was about 46AUD. It was good and made my make up looked more natural and I decided that I would get the whole set someday!

52.jpg

Besides that, I have been an avid fan of Bobbi Brown as well. Been using them for 3 years or so. So I was stocking up my make up at Bobbi Brown counter and very much wanted to get some make up brushes but I knew my mum wouldnt let me to.

61.jpg

To my surprise, my mum picked a set of the limited edition brushes and asked if I wanted them! Mum are the best and the most unpredicted creature I tell you! Thank you, Mummmyyy! *mwahs*!!

I love the brushes. They feel so good on my skin! They are made of pony and sheep(or goat) fur, unlike the synthetic ones of Estee Lauder. I got the mini sets and the holder is smaller and shorter than the usual ones but the size of the head(the fur part) is the same as the original ones. Its really worthy considering its selling at RM350 only!

1 original foundation brush from EL : RM180(synthetic fur)
1 original foundation brush from BB : RM150 (pony/goat fur)

Although Estee Lauder’s brushes are more expensive and are of synthetic fur, I think I am still going to get one of each make up brush when I get back to Aussie. They look so good :P

Taiwan Beef Noodles

Filed under: My thoughts, Pictures, Reviews, Trips — Valentina January 24, 2007 @ 8:47 am

I have seen many places selling Taiwan beef noodles in Malaysia. I have tried several of them when I crave for it and not being able to come straight to Taiwan and have them. They all dissapointed me.

The soup is not supposed to taste anything near soy sauce. The beef is not supposed to feel like beef jerky. The noodles is not supposed to be the yellow rounded kind. Some even had bean sprouts in them. What a disgrace!!

Here is how the real Taiwan beef noodles should look like. The soup is not so see through and its dark brown in colour, not soy-sauced black.

Traditional Taiwan Beef Noodles

Mouth watering

Big chunk of tender beef

Taiwan Beef Noodles is not complete without this. Sour Vege. No idea what its called in English

Yummy~

Today’s camwhore pic!

I wish I could pack some of this back for my friend.s Too bad I cant!

Rascal Flatts - What hurts the most

After listening to this song on the radio for many, many times, I’ve decided that I MUST have this song. However, I couldnt find it anyway. I mean, I spent the whole night searching for this song and then Kenneth came to the rescue. He found me the song. Good things should be shared. Get it here. Link expires in 7 days from now.

I found its video clip in youtube.com and another self-produced video clip. Both equally touching. Enjoy!

Ori clip

self-produced clip(not by me lah)

Heres the lyrics :

Artist/Band: Rascal Flatts
Lyrics for Song: What Hurts The Most
Lyrics for Album: Me & My Gang

I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house
That don’t bother me
I can take a few tears now and then and just let them out
I’m not afraid to cry every once in a while
Even though going on with you gone still upsets me
There are days every now and again I pretend I’m ok
But that’s not what gets me

What hurts the most
Was being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was tryin’ to do

It’s hard to deal with the pain of losing you everywhere I go
But I’m doin’ It
It’s hard to force that smile when I see our old friends and I’m alone
Still Harder
Getting up, getting dressed, livin’ with this regret
But I know if I could do it over
I would trade give away all the words that I saved in my heart
That I left unspoken

What hurts the most
Is being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was trying to do

What hurts the most
Is being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was trying to do

Not seeing that loving you
That’s what I was trying to do

I have been getting some hits from people looking for Jeniffer Love Hewitt’s Love Will Show You Everything song after I posted the review for the movie If Only. Most of them were looking for the song. So here it is. But the link expires in 7 days. Send me an email to request for the song if you like to, and if my mood is good, I’ll send it to you. Heh.

Anyway, bro go here today. Amazingly, we got along quite well today. Havent argued, havent fought. I thought with my mum away from us, we would start fighting the moment we laid eyes on each other. I dont know. I think he is begining to like me and likewise.

I think its a good begining for him to move back to KL. maybe we could rekindle our relationship.

The Break Up

I just watched the movie The Break Up. Many people said that it reflects whats happening in many relationships in real life. After watching it, I agree with what they said. Especially the dishes part where Brooke wanted Gary to want to do the dishes. Well, the point is not doing the dishes. It about the guys willingly want to help us. Guess most guys dont see that.

However, if an orgy ever took place in the living room in my condo with my guy involved, I would march straight to the kitchen and get hold a pair of scissors. The rest, you all can imagine. I would not cry myself to bed. If there is any tear, he should be the one crying(in pain hehe).

Most of the time, when these kind of guys realise whats actually going on, its normally too late to go back.

Tip : Do not let any fights drag for too long. Best is solve it right there and then(if non of you are violent) or the next day when both of you are a little calmer.

Love will show you everything

Today, today I bet my life
You have no idea
What I feel inside
Don’t be afraid to let it show

For you’ll never know
If you let it hide

Chorus:
I love you
You love me
Take this gift and don’t ask why
Cause if you will let me
I’ll take what scares you
Hold it deep inside
And if you ask me why I’m with you
And why I’ll never
Leave
Love will show you everything

One day
When youth is just a memory
I know you’ll be standing right next to me

I love you
You Love me
Take this gift and don’t ask why
Cause if you will let me
I’ll take what scares you
Hold it deep inside
And if you ask me why I’m with you
And why I’ll never
Leave
My love will show you everything
My love will show you everything
My love will show you everything
Our love will show us everything

This is the soundtrack of the movie If Only. Its sang by Jennifer Love Hewitt. So nice lah >.<

Movie Review .:: If Only ::.

I think this is the first time I write a movie review here. Not sure if its gonna be good but I just have to blog about this movie.

I watched If Only this afternoon and cried my eyes out.

*Bewarned. A quite detailed summary ahead*

This movie is about a couple; an American woman, Samantha Andrews( Jennifer Love Hewitt), and a British man, Ian Wyndham( Paul Nicholls ), whom were staying somewhere in England. They were not exactly the happiest couple around. Well, at least to Sam.

Sam and Ian had an arguement after a not-very-smooth day over dinner. Sam got out of the restaurant, Ian went after, Sam got in a cab, Ian tried to talk to her, Ian failed, Sam left in the cab, cab stopped at traffic light, Ian started running towards it, light turned green, cab started to move and

*BAAANNNGGGGG*

Cab got crashed into.

Sam died. Ian was crushed.

Somehow, Ian woke up the next day to yesterday! Well, time actually turned back one day(to the day Sam died) and Ian had the ability to change what was going to happen. He wanted to save Sam.

He did save her in the end, after turning the not-so-smooth day into the most romantic day the both of them had ever spent together. However, Ian died in the end.

He got into the cab with Sam and shielded her in the cab during the accident.

Find a way to watch it. Its as good as A Walk To Remember.

Excuse me now. I want to watch it again. *prepares tissue*

Zuup Soup Bar

NO. Not Zouk. Now, say after me. Z-U-U-P. Good. Now we can start.

Went to Zuup a few days ago for dinner. Its located in 1Utama shopping centre. Lowerground floor, somwhere near The Pet’s Wonderland. I think I’ll just let the pictures do the talking along with some captions!

By the way, I suggest you to come back later with a full stomach if you are feeling hungry now. Serious.

My teriyaki chicken!

The chicken was great. Texture was good, with the teriyaki sauce dwelling in you mouth. Not to mention the cottage fries! It was damn good too. Like the best cottage fries ever(just like how mc d serves the best french fries!).

Ze close up

This fried rice is kinda special. Something I have never tried before; and it was good too. We ended up packing two of these home!

Whats that cream?

Thats mayonnaise wasabi! Thats what made the fried rice special. For people who cant take wasabi, like me(or minimal wasabi), you can ask the staff to separate them with the rice.

Spaghetti beef bolognese

For non beef-takers, you can opt for chicken bolognese. I must say that the pasta was delicious. With the aroma of herbs and olive oil tingling in your mouth while your burying your teeth into the bolognese. Imagine that people.

Some ice cream…

Then we had some ice creams…

and some cakes.

Dont believe that the food was good?

What about that? Heh. Wish that it was you whom had that dinner? I know you do. Envy me!
