After accident 1, I went home and went to bed. Then I woke up at 6.30 and started preparing for Kuching Bloggers Gathering. But then…….
I got in my car all excited and reversed my car, did a two point turn, and drove straight heading to the exit. Then I saw my neighbour’s car’s reverse lights lighting up. I immediately pressed on the honk and stopped. Somehow, he was deaf enough to not hear the honk. *BANG*
I cursed. My second accident that day. How could that happen?!!?! I got down, he got down. He is a Chinaman working for the China Embassy here. He started to blame me the minute he got out of his car.
Chinaman : I was looking at the other side lah. Where did you come from??
Me : When you reverse you should look at both sides lah. I honked so loud you cannot hear meh??
CM : I didnt hear. Where you came from lah! Before I got into the car I got look lah. No car lah.
Me : How can you drive like this lah. Before you reverse you have to look also lah!
Then I called my mum and asked her to come and deal with the Chinaman. Then the Chinaman’s friend, other Chinaman came out too. Aduh. The driver is so not smart lah. He told my mum that he was revsering at a slow speed but busted when my mum pointed out that the damage wont be that big if he reversed slowly.
Owh btw. I forgot to mention the damages. His back light was broken and my bumper was slightly damaged. Here are some pictures!

My poor car..

The criminal car!

Teh crime scene
In the end, he called up some of his local friends for help. His local friends told him to just pay for the bill after we get out car repaired rather than make the thing big. Then he obliged. Teh End. Buhz.
I wanna cry already. I met two accidents in one day. ~~>.<~~
First accident :
It happened after I sent Phoebe home this morning. As I was reversing my car, I looked into my rear mirror and side mirror, no cars. Then I reversed slowly. *BANG*
I immediately looked into my rear mirror and side mirror again. Nothing. “I banged into a rubbish bin kah?”.
Then I got down of my car and saw that my bumper knocked a Kancil. NoOoOoo~! *sigh*
I could have drove away but then….I stayed and waited for the owner to get out of the house. My car was not damaged at all but the kancil’s front went out of place.
*sobs* Gotta pay for the damage loh.
I will blog about the second accident tomorrow. The accident which stopped me from going to Kuching’s Bloggers Gathering.
I am so angry now! *ROOOOAAARRRR*
Okay. I havent been blogging these few days. Thats because I havent been doing anything fruitful. At least not fruitful enough for me to blog about.
Then I was looking at the picture Wendy and I took when she went to Taiwan with me. That was the first time I went back to Taiwan after I got my digital camera, about half a year before that. We had a great time =)
Then I saw this picture….

It was taken it Taipei Zoo. Cute creature eh? But I think the name is cuter. Hehe.
Her actual birthday is on 16th of Jan. She wont be in Kuching that day so Phoebe and I decided to bring the celebation forward. So we had dinner at Flavourz, Travilion.
To be honest, to food there tasted average. I had Stuff Duck and I felt as if I was biting a real life duck’s ass as I was eating it. Really. Phoebe’s Lamb Skank and Wendy’s I-forgot-the-exact-name lamb was both okay. I have no idea why do I always order not-so-tasty food at a new place. Buhz!

All of us!
After dinner, we went to Zen to play pool. We all had not been playing pool for a long time so the idea was quite exciting. We played 5 rounds while waiting for Henry to arrive for our usual scrabble meeting.

Never knew I look so horrible while playing pool

Break them!

In her words, stylo-nya!
We started to play as soon as we finished oreding our drinks at Oregano(yes, again). While playing, the candle went off. So we asked for a fresh one. Then the waiter(he has been serving us for a few nights now) got us a fresh one and we resumed playing. A while later, he brought over this big lamp and replced the candle with it. It was amusing. Even the waiter himself laughed. Yea. We are the regular customers who love to play scrabbles there!

The lamp
Am looking forward to our next Scrabbles meeting. =P
Okay. As Mike has requested, here are the pictures of Sarawak Laksa! I know many bloggers have blogged about it but still, I would like to state the obvious. Its irresistable! The gravy especially. Its superb. Really. For Semenanjung mates, dont be deceived by imitations provided by the shops there! Only the stalls here in Kuching can provide the best sarawak Laksa.
Btw! Phoebe and I went to have laksa at her uncle’s stall which is located at Bormil Cafe. Its somewhere in third mile. Her uncle’s laksa is ranked number 2 in Sarawak! Do give it a try if you have the chance. *salivates*

How can anyone resist this??
Salivating yet? No?

Look at the rich gravy!
Still not salivating?!

Oh so yummy…
I can almost taste it in my mouth now. Gosh. I need to get another bowl of it tomorrow morning.
Kolo Mee up next!!
I just came home from another round of scrabble with Phoebe and Henry. Second time this week. Yup. My life is that boring. But in order to spice it up a little, we played scrabble outdoor.
We were playing at Oregano on Monday and we played at Zen today. We were supposed to play Monopoly but I cant find mine. I was actually pretty upset earlier on because that set of Monopoly of mine is a Star Wars version.
Will start playing Uno when I get tired of playing Scrabble. My Coca Cola version of Uno. Hope it wont go missing too. Please people. Suggest to me something to do >.<
~~~>.<~~~
I did something today. Well, its nothing big. I accompanied Phoebe and PK to shop for their clothes! Before that, Phoebe and I went to have lunch with Francis and his friend, Ah Yao first.
We went to Little Saigon, located in BDC behind Xiang Xiang Corner. Its a Vietnamese restaurant The food tasted fairly average. I dont think I’ll go back for a second try. Even the famous beef with rice noodles sucked. I didnt even finish it. Buhz.
PK fetched Phoebe and I from my place at about 3.30pm then off we went to shop! We went Sarberkas and Phoebe got herself a few things there. Then at Tun Jugah we got another few things. We practiced a lot of bargaining skill. Hehe. Half way my spine was threatening to break anytime as we were half way through Tun Jugah. So was PK’s. Then we decided to have dinner at Oriental Restaurant before heading to Hock Lee centre. We shopped till all shops were closed and head over to Travilion as we were all half dead.
Guess what! We went to Oregano! They did not recognise us I think. Which was good. Then we met Jonathan, our ex-schoolmate. There we relaxed and chit chat-ed over our drinks. I like Oregano. Nice ambience and atmosphere. Then of course we cam whored……
End of cam whoring session. Toot.
I am still rotting at home in Kuching. What do you do when you have nothing to do? I’ld take picture of myself. What happens when yours pictures turn out bad? I make ugly faces and take picture of them. Buhz. I AM SO BORED!!!!
Some kind people please suggest to me something to do. I dont have many hang out friends in Kuching and I have been watching so much tv that I can memorize the tv guide.
Its rather….dramatic. My mum and I were re-organising our new home and I saw pictures of my dad’s funeral. It all came back.
Not all actually. There is not vivid memory of the funeral in my mind. I was only 12 and it all happened too quickly. Hours seemed like minutes. From the second my maid banged on the bedroom door to the second my mum came home from hospital telling me my dad was dead. She hugged me and cried after breaking the news.
I did not know how to react and I kept quiet. I was not really sad back then. I could not feel his absence yet. Dead? Whats that, mommy? Thats how I felt. I was used to my dad being away and coming home late due to his job. So his death did not hit me until days later.
To me, my dad was my everything. My eyes, my ears, my world. He showed me all the things in my world, he taught me all the thing in my world. He gave me the world. Without him, I was nothing.
People said I was not a good child. I was not sad during the funeral. Even my mum said that. Little did they know. I always hid in my room and cried. I love my dad so much. How could I not be sad. I lost my world. How could I not be sad.
My life was changed overnight. Changed forever. For good or for worse? Its left for others to judge. To me, no matter how good things hava changed to be, losing my father, my world, will never be viewed as something good. To me, his death has became a wound to me. A wound which will never heal.
I will forever curse the person who pulled the trigger. I hope your children will go through the pain which I have been going through.
I miss you, Daddy.
I spent my Christmas eve at home watching tv. Was so tired from cleaning my room that afternoon so I decided to stay at home. Then my lovely friends asked me to join them for countdown but they didnt have any plan yet. They suggested bowling, singing etc but I was too tired to do those. Plus my mum was there visiting me, so I said no to them. Then Du called me at 9 and asked me out for dinner. So I went!
We went to Taman Mega and had our dinner there. He told me that his friends were switching plans. They were either spending the eve at Sunway Pyramid or Damansara Perdana. Then Ian SMS-ed me and asked where was I. He thought I was joining the group at Bangsar! At this point, I felt like I wanted to join them regardless whatever thay were going to do.
When Du and I we leaving, I tried to convince him to ditch his friends and fetch me to Bangsar and countdown there with the rest of the gang. Then he said its too far. >.< So he sent me home.
At about 11.50pm, Du SMS-ed me. His friends changed plan again! They were all at Damansara Perdana while he was stuck in a jam in front of Sunway Pyramid. So I replied me a classic “very good”. Wakakakakakakaka… So thats my boring Xmas eve.
Du and I
Then its New Year’s eve. I was still sick that day. Bad flu plus cough. I wanted to stay at home initially but thinking of all the actions I was going to miss pushed me to dressed up and drove all the way to phoebe’s place and head off to the city. By the way, Phoebe was sick too. She was attacked by this unknown disease which causes diarrhea for days. So semangat right both of us. =P
We had no idea where to go and decided to head to Travillion after driving rounds like fools. There we met people we know and among them were Kelvin and Siaw. The so called street party was a bore(compared to Kl’s). After the countdown we went to Oregano to have a few drinks. My throat was so damn irritated that I finished my first drink so quickly and had to order second glass. Then….we commited our first sin in 2006. We urm…..forgot to pay for our bills and left. HEhehehe…Now dont go reporting to Oregano. =P
Phoebe and I
Then we camwhore a lil in the car…
Then Phoebe and I attended her friend, Henry’s Birthday dinner. Henry is a nice guy. really friendly and warm. The dinner was normal, nothing fancy. Since both Phoeb and I were still sick, we left early and went to somewhere less crowded for a drink.
During the dinner
So thats basically what I have been doing these few days other then being sick. Wont be updating too frequently as I am on dial up. Buhbyez!
