Funny names.

I was looking my blog’s stats and saw someone googled my name, Valentina Kueh, to get to my blog. Then I looked at the rest of the links google provided under the search and I find it funny to see so many Kuehs around. Some for people surname, like mine, and some for kuehs. As in the edible ones.

Then I recalled me being teased by classmates when I was in high school. Kueh is not the worse part of my name. My full chinese name is Kueh Mui Hoon. Yes. Its pretty disturbing but I am proud of it, I think…>.<

So during my high school years I was always related to food such as, all the edible kuehs you can think of, mee hoon, kuay tiaw etc etc. Poor me. But fortunately, I have a rather nice english name, Valentina. I cant imagine if I was not given any english name and woul have to live with plain Kueh Mui Hoon.

One thing many people always ask me when I told them my name is Valentina.

“You’re born on Valentine’s Day arh???” -_-

But I am sure my brother gets that more than me cause he is named Valentine. Lucky him for not having funny chinese name.
