Looking good gets you privilleges.

I am pondering on that statement. After much thinking, I still cannot come up with any conclusion. You see, sometimes you dont have to look good to get privilleges.

I am not sure if I am paranoid or what but I see it very often, especially in government departments. Where lady employees will treat the men with a better manner and the guy employees will treat the females with a better manner. Isnt it unfair?! Because I always get lady employees to attend to me when its my turn! They always treat me like I owe them money.

To contra that, there are very friendly employees too. They greet you with smile, regardless how you look, which automatically brightens up your day and you feel a minor sense of recognition. Well, I am not sure if you feel that way but I know I do.

But sometimes, looking good does give you privillege. Notice some employees assist people who dress up to show people that they own a gold mine, better? Better service, more smiles and the employees treat them like they owe the patrons money instead. WTH!

My closest encounter with the issue above would be when I visit shops like Louis Vuitton, Gucci etc. When I go alone or with friends, they wont serve me. Come on… cant teenagers buy branded stuffs too? When I go with my mum, we get “Good afternoons” and all. They will get someone to serve us even when the counter is full. WHy lahz. Do I look that bad/poor/low without my mum? :(

So, yea. I am stil pondering.
